There was a time when I never wanted to wake up early. In fact, I used to dread the sound of my alarm clock. I would hit snooze over and over again until I finally had to get up for work. It wasn’t until I started practicing manifesting that my view on waking up early changed.

Now, I yearn to get up as the sun rises and have some quiet time to myself. Today, I want to share with you how manifesting can help you achieve your goals – in this case, waking up earlier!

Set the Intention

A few months ago I started paying closer attention to those who have built wealth in this world. The reason is that we’re heading into hard times* and I want to be prepared to of course, keep my family afloat and perhaps help some other families, too!

*Hard times for the world, for the family, and society in general – I’ve been studying history and paying close attention to what’s predicted to rhyme with the past. I don’t live in fear, I live in preparedness.

This means I have to figure out how other people before me became wealthy. One thing I’ve come to realize is that being wealthy is more about how to manage your funds than it is about working yourself to the hospital.

There are many things I’ve learned about wealth builders, and one is that most of them wake up earlier in the morning. Elon Musk, for example, wakes up around 7 am they say but he goes to sleep around 1 am. That’s only six hours of sleep. Then there are others who go to bed around 9 or so and wake up around 7 am. Each person has a unique pattern of sleep but all being similar wake up times.

For some reason after learning this, I said out loud that I wish I was a morning person because I think I’d get a lot more done before everyone else is awake. Plus this would help free me up during the hours that the boys are awake so I can be more present when they come to ramble with me, do boxing, or do other things together. I want to be more present in my life while building my wealth.

Being present is so important for I made some choices along the last handful of years in my life that led me astray. I strayed from the path of my values and morals, my beliefs, and so much more. I cannot fix those mistakes made, but I want today forward better and to be stronger with this intention, I must practice new habits.

Getting up early sounds like a reasonable habit or goal to achieve. Right?!! Sure, why not?

The thing is, I’ve always needed about 8 hours of sleep a night with the exception of that time when my first born (now almost 20 years old) was a baby and toddler; I slept 12 hours a night. My boss back then would say I was sleeping half my life away. It was true, but it felt so good!

Ahhh, but I’m getting off track. So, I set this subconscious intention to get up earlier in the morning. I hadn’t set a time, or an alarm clock yet but today I woke up to the sunshine. I had to go pee at about 7:47 am. The dog followed me out of the bedroom and sat guard as I went to the bathroom, then sleepily followed me back to bed.

I snuggled up under the blankets only to find that the sun was poking through the curtain giving me all its warmth and light as if it was pulling me to go downstairs and be awake. I tried to fight it. My brain kept trying to tell me to sleep just one more hour, but alas the sunshine knew I had set this subconscious intent to get up before others in my home. And so, I was awake!

The dog wasn’t as happy as I was about this, he is currently sleeping on the couch behind me, but he is my sidekick so he followed me downstairs. So there you have it, how I set my intention without realizing it!

Sometimes that’s how simple something can be, setting an intention through speaking the words one day and reading or listening to podcasts that talk more about the mission you have, and then one day you wake up with the sun poking you in the eyes pushing you to do what you intended to do.

Now, what is the next step to do here? Well, once you’ve set the intention of what you wish to accomplish, you’ll want to continue thinking the right thoughts.

How to Think The Right Thoughts?

You want to get clear about what you desire. You do this by writing it down, making a vision board, or telling yourself each day what it is that you wish to manifest in your life.

You must then get rid of any doubts that you have. This includes speaking words of affirmation to yourself and listening to audiobooks or podcasts that will help increase your faith and belief in yourself. Here’s a little tidbit of information for you though, those doubts I say to get rid of? They will continue to sneak in. Even those who have mastered the skill of living a life on purpose still have brain patterns that try to pull them backward in life.

You see, your brain is mostly your human computer. It wants to work in the most efficient way possible. Doing this practice of manifesting a new life or routine is going to trigger your mind to fight with you. It will want to keep doing the pattern of thoughts and behaviors you’ve always done. This will be a huge process for some, especially those who aren’t getting enough sleep or eating healthier foods.

Be sure to be more mindful about your thoughts and just think a different thought when those doubts sneak in. Keep a notepad of positive thoughts that help you focus on your intentions & goals, as this will help on the harder days.

You also need to take inspired action steps towards your goal. This means if you want to wake up earlier, start going to bed earlier so you can wake up feeling rested. Set an alarm for the time you wish to wake up and put it on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off.

I also like to have my coffee already set up the night before so all I have to do is push a button in the morning. If you want to learn more about manifesting your dreams, check out this post on how to create a daily manifesting routine from Modern Day Manifestations.

When you take inspired action steps and surround yourself with things that increase your faith, you are well on your way to manifesting anything you desire! So tell me, what do you wish to manifest in your life? Share in the comments below!
